Lawrence A. Waks is a partner in Jackson Walker's Business Transactions, Intellectual Property and Litigation sections. He represents a broad range of domestic and international clients in the entertainment, intellectual property/technology, energy, and environmental industries.

Mr. Waks devotes a significant portion of his practice to companies engaged in the creation and distribution of intellectual property, including but not limited to entertainment content such as music, film, advertising, publishing and the like. He also represents clients' interests in the area of international business and trade, including international contract and dispute negotiation, arbitration and litigation, licenses, joint ventures, and acquisitions, being particularly familiar with financial and business transactions in Europe and South America, where he has resided.

Mr. Waks is a graduate of Trinity University (B.S., 1975) and St. Mary's University (J.D., 1978). Languages: Spanish, French.
