Blake K. Wade is partner in the firm, chairman of the Public Finance Department, and chair of the Public-Private Partnerships Group. He is a member of the Energy and Project Finance Group, Housing Group, Securitization Group, and the Transactional Finance Group. Mr. Wade has senior responsibility for many of the firm’s bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel engagements for housing, airport, higher education, student loan bonds, transportation finance, industrial development, redevelopment and tax increment financing, general obligation bonds, and lease and other revenue bond financing. His experience also includes related areas of securities law, municipal law, constitutional law, and real estate law.

He served as bond counsel on one of the first GARVEE-type transactions for highway purposes and as bond counsel or underwriter’s counsel on general obligation, sales tax, special transportation tax and other structured financings for highways, mass transit and rail projects in a number of states.

Mr. Wade has lectured at municipal and redevelopment association conferences and drafted statutes relating to higher education, transportation, redevelopment and public finance.

Mr. Wade is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, Utah State Bar, American Bar Association and Salt Lake County Bar Association. He is licensed as a lobbyist in the State of Utah.

Mr. Wade is a graduate of the University of Utah (B.S., cum laude, 1983) and the University of Utah College of Law (J.D. 1986) where he was a member of the Utah Law Review (1985-86).
