Randall J. Towers202/864-8522 Telephone Randall J. Towers is a partner in the Business & Finance Department and a member of the Energy and Project Finance Group, Mergers and Acquisitions Group, Public Finance Group, Securities Group, and International Group. He has spent his entire legal career at Ballard Spahr. Mr. Towers has counseled public and private clients in connection with mergers and divestitures, leveraged leasing transactions, national and international distribution, and general business law. He is experienced in project and energy financing and public finance, where he regularly serves as underwriter’s counsel and bond counsel in connection with conduit municipal revenue bond transactions, with particular expertise in the electric industry.
Mr. Towers is a member of the firm’s Opinion Committee and Hiring Committee. He is an active member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and he is a member of American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Philadelphia Bar Association.
Mr. Towers is on the Board of Trustees of Abington Art Center, a regional art center that offers educations and community outreach programs, exhibitions, and concerts. He is also a director of ArcheDream for Humankind, a non-profit performance arts organization dedicated to education about the needs of underserved populations through entertainment.
Mr. Towers is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University (B.S. 1985) and Widener University School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 1989), where he was articles editor of The Delaware Journal of Corporate Law and the author of Copiat vs. United States: The Grey Market Gets Greyer, 14 Del. J. Corp. Law 108 (1988).
Mr. Towers lives in Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania with his wife and two sons. He is an avid runner and enjoys snowboarding and gardening. |
